December 15, 2018: Last Sunday, students gathered together for a leadership seminar with Mr. H.E. Veng Sereyvuth, Chair of the Board of Trustees at the University of Panasatra. Prior to becoming Board Chair, Mr. Sereyvuth served as the Minister of Tourism from 1989 to 2013. He spoke about his work and the many obstacles that he overcame in pursuit of an education and career. During the Khmer Rouge regime, Mr. Serevuthand his family sought refuge in Thailand and New Zealand. He explained that although he encountered many challenges in his life, he never gave up because “success does not depend on the size of our brain, but on the size of our thinking.” He ended the seminar by sharing his “three laws of life- value, respect, and never judge others.” The students were touched by his story and asked many questions.
